smile smile. just smile. :)

Salam,

I've been thinking. You know, Allah gave us mankind choices. There will always be one. A discussion, a 'No' or a 'Yes' is always an option. Decisions are ours to make. Hence, I take it as you have made your choice, and my choice is to let you choose yours... But still, this has all been written by Him, and therefore, I will still have to accept what has already been written. Although the outcome is the same, but the process still matters. God should not be questioned. A reminder for all. :)

Now, since that is out of my way, let us proceed with something better.

Who says you can't be in Egypt while you're in Singapore? Hah.

Al-fadhil Sheikh Mahmoud Solleh from Port Said, Egypt. Invited by Baalwi Mosque. Liaised with them to get him to ours. He led Witr and read some Quran.

Fadhilati Sheikh Mohd Mustofa Mohd Ali Al-Sharkawy, Mansoura, Egypt. Graduated from Al-Azhar, New Dumyat on the year 2000. Invited by Jamiyah, liaised with them to get him to our mosque. This sheikh here, made my day today. We talk about a whole lot of things. Hmm, when was the last I spoke arabic eh? Hah. He is easy to get along with.

MasyaAllah, leading the teraweh with different qiraah in each rakaat. Later after terawih, we sat, together with the LPMs and ex minister over food. I had to translate a lot. They spoke of politics! wheew... In one of our conversation, he spoke of 'thum'... I went on "u mean 'thum'? garlic? onion and garlic?? o.O".

He repeated again, no no! "thum"! Then I realised what he meant was 'poison'! It's 'سم' not 'ثوم' manalah saya pernah dengar word poison in arabic! hahah.

I'll be seeing again soon on the 14th and 19th of this month insyaAllah. I hope he won't bring up any more complicated conversation for me translate! hah. I'm really glad he came. Alhamdulillah.

I was given a chance to go for an iftar by Saudi Ambassador at Shangri La Hotel. Looking for the place can be quite challenging, especially when you're alone. Luckily I had my GPS smartphone with me. Ikut arrow melulu je.. alhamdulillah sampai jugak. Actually my chairman asked me to come on his behalf. Was hesitated at first. But alhamdulillah, it turn out to be a fine event. Many well-known asatizah and minister were there too. An egyption qari read some verses from the quran before Maghrib came.

They served a jug of milk, orange juice, yogurt and very sweet dates for breakfast before Maghrib on a table of 8. Ramai btol eh waiter/server dia.

While others having their loooooooonnngggg queue for the main course... I knew getting the free-flow kebab first was a better choice. ^_^
